I bought this for my 8-year-old who loves fairies, and she really enjoyed painting the jewelry box herself. The set includes a mirror, which she liked a lot, and the 8+ age rating felt accurate since younger kids might need help. The colors went on nicely and the finished box looks sweet on her dresser. It took a couple of sessions to finish, so it kept her busy. Good little creative gift, just be ready to cover the table before starting.
